Where real change
becomes possible.
I grew up on Long Island and subtlety wasn’t one of my strengths. It took me a long tine to learn how to take that same directness and make it relational instead of just loud. That refinement happened in my marriage, when I realized that being right wasn't the same as being close, and that the version of myself who always had to win an argument wasn't the version I wanted to be married to.
Couples therapy found me because I needed to rescue myself and my relationship, not because I set out to build a career. I found my way into it because I needed to become a better partner, and I needed better tools to do it. I have brought that same directness into my work, but pointed at something more useful than winning: awareness, honesty, and real change.
I believe strongly in collaborative care. We share clients closely, so you're never getting just one perspective, you get the whole team approach. This also looks like collaborating with outside clinicians who may be treating the same client alongside us, whether that's a psychiatrist, a medical provider, or another therapist. Good care rarely happens in isolation.
